Google Keep
Using Google Keep to Keep Your Sanity!
I used to never need to write anything down. There was a wonderful time in my life where everything I needed to remember fit neatly inside my brain. I didn’t need a planner or a calendar. I could remember dates easily and made it to all of my appointments on time…then I became a teacher.
I remember being so overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things I needed to remember once I was student teaching. In college I assumed it would just be lesson plans and objectives, but once I got in the classroom and all of the little extra things started to creep in, I could not keep up. Fire drills, parent emails, staff meetings, and assemblies began to weigh on my brain in a way I was not used to. I very quickly began writing everything down on sticky notes which I would then lose. I could never find a great system.
This year with the pandemic I started a new journey of teaching second grade virtually. I also started the new journey of being a mom! I have never had more on my mind, so I am so glad I found Google Keep!
If you are not using Google Keep yet, I highly recommend it. Basically, Google Keep is virtual sticky notes that you can have access to at any place or time. Google Keep is free and syncs across all of your devices! You can make checklists, reminders, and notes to keep you on track. All you need is a Google account!
